Hello people of LJ land,
I'm quite new to this lark, and am WELL chuffed to see that there's a Ben Elton community, because I ADORE his stuff! Just a little question, does anybody know of any authors who are like Elton in the way he qrites and the content of his books? I'm looking to expand my reading a bit, in preparation for uni, and I love Elton's books so much, it'd be great to find other authors that are as good!
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :D
Thankyous xx

Elton heads autumn comedy season
Ben Elton heads a packed autumn of comedy at Warwick Arts Centre, which also features a host of big names from the world of stand-up.

As well as crunchy brown leaves, bonfire night and the excitement of the impending festive season, autumn brings us some amazingly strong schedules in our local theatres but Warwick Arts Centre's new comedy season is the one to trump the lot.

Heading it up is Ben Elton, on stage on 17 December, in his first live stand up tour in eight years.

Joining him in the autumn line-up is another old hand, Rob Newman, plus newer faces like Ross Noble, Paddy McGuinness and Al Murray.

[Not to mention Ardal O'Hanlon! Wooo! -OP]

Hullo, the name's Geo and I am (obviously) a Ben Elton fan.

 That's about it.

Never seen any of his stand-up work and am mostly a fan of his novels more than anything else, speaking of which, if anyone is interested, Amazon has some info on his upcoming novel, check this out (clickity click) if you want to er...know about it.

I apologise for the crapness of this introductory post as I am ever so slightly tipsy but oh well, hope to see this community prosper, huzzah!
